1. Try Before You Buy
You ever wanted that perfect foundation it just melts in your skin??? Finding the perfect match can become frustrating at times, especially when you don't have money to waste, adding up that expensive unused makeup over the months could hvae been a down payment on a car, OUCH! that hurts lol...So, let's eliminate that process by getting it right the first time. Test out your foundation in different lighting, nobody wants their face a different color from their neck.
2. Choose According To Your Skin Tone
Dry Skin- If you have dry skin I would suggest using a liquid foundation. Also, make sure your looking for hydrating ingredients like hyaluronic acid and vitamin E.

Oily Skin- I would suggest using a matte foundation since they help to absorb oil and leaves skin with a smooth finish. Try using a matte primer before using your foundation to help prevent makeup from sliding off your face.

Normal Skin- A powder or liquid foundation are both great products to use for normal skin.

3. Use The Right Tool

The right brushes can really help determine the look of your foundation as well as that finishing touch. If your applying a liquid foundation then using a makeup sponge will defintely help with blending in your concealer and that contour look. Oval Brushes are typically on the expensive side but works great for a flawless finish. Powder Brushes doesn't have to be expensive, you can actually buy these from any drug or department store, as long as it's soft and fluffy your good to go. Let's not forget about our Concealer Brushes (a girls bestfriend) are perfect for under the eyes and dark spots.
4. Consult A Makeup Professional

You will find the most help walking into a department store and having them try out different shades for your complexion. Also, don't over due your foundation, you should use just enough to cover up any blemishes and dark spots. Never assume your foundation will match your face just from looking at the bottle (yes we all been there before).
