Chocolate

Yes! Chocolate is one of the worst foods to eat before you sleep. Because this tasty treat contains caffiene that is sure to keep you up all night. Especially dark chocolate which contains a substance called Theobromine, which is known to increase heart rate and will definetely make you restless. So, if you're craving for something sweet I would suggest eating a banana, they contain Tryptophan, an amino acid that allows synthesis of serotonin and melatonin, which plays a vital role in a good nights rest.
Alcohol

I know we all had that glass of wine or wanted that drink before sleep or a tough night at work. According to The National Sleep Foundation, Alcohol has been known to aggravate breathing problems which leads to snoring and sleep apnea. Your body works hard to process and eliminate alcohol, because of that you will have frequent urination and trips to the bathroom that will lead to a sleepless night.
Spicy Foods

Some sources say eating spicy food before bedtime has been linked to having nightmares (who would have thought). Not only is spicy foods unhealthy before bed but it also causes heartburn, acid reflux and a raise in body temperature. If you're looking for anything spicy to eat I would suggest waiting till lunch time.
Ice Cream

A bowl of ice cream is one comfort food we can all agree on, but is it really healthy? ice cream is loaded with tons of fat which makes it harder to burn it off, not to mention the extra calories that will make you gain weight. Your body will thank you later if you focus on healthy eating.
